The symposium consists on an opening reflection on the achievements of the community radio movement since 1983; three knowledge exchange sessions on links between communication, human development, communication rights and social justice; a plenary to debate the Montreal Declaration; followed by a Recognition Ceremony to Community Radio Practitioners for the 25th anniversary of AMARC and a concluding plenary with Amy Goodman as the keynote speaker.For the concluding plenary, participant will move to Leacock - Room 132, 855 Sherbrooke St West
The symposium will be covered by Radio Centre-Ville, CKUT, CIBL and other community radios and podcast and webstream will be available at http://.www.amarc.org

Objective: to reflect on AMARC’s journey traveled over 25 years with contributions from participants on those experiences and reflexions on the lessons learned
