AMARC participates in the international seminar "Community Media Sustainability: Strengthening Policies and Funding"

Montreal, September 14, 2015. From September 14 to 15, representatives of the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) are in Paris at the invitation of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to participate in the international seminar "Community Media Sustainability: Strengthening Policies and Funding".

This event brings together participants from different backgrounds of community media from more than twenty countries: experts, broadcasting regulators, community radio networks, stakeholders from academia, non-governmental organizations, international organizations and UN agencies. Together they will discuss innovations in order to enhance the sustainability of the community media sector and to promote regulations, favorable policies and funding for community radios and to facilitate knowledge sharing between complementary national, community and commercial media.
