August 9, 2015 - International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples: Add your voice to an audio campaign

August 9 is the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples. This year, the United Nations has chosen "Post 2015 Agenda: Ensuring indigenous peoples' health and well-being" as the theme.

Since the General Assembly held in La Plata, Argentina, in 2010, the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) is working to support minority languages and cultures as an essential aspect of the identity of community radio stations and the communities they represent.

Once again this year, we invite you to take the opportunity of this important Day to demonstrate your commitment by sharing with AMARC your audio productions on the theme selected by the UN or on issues affecting indigenous peoples.

By giving international visibility to the productions received, AMARC wants to illustrate how community radio is an important tool in sharing information and knowledge, in the support to the communities and in promoting a rich and active citizenship.

We hope to highlight the quality of your productions and carry the message of community radio stations to the greatest number. Thank you for your participation!
