AMARC-FAO International Year of Family Farming

  

 

2014 is the International Year of Family Farming (IYFF), declared by the United Nations General Assembly: its  aims is to become a tool that stimulates active policies for sustainable development of agricultural systems based on farmer families. It’s an opportunity to promote the producers of 70% of the food consumed worldwide. Community Broadcasters are the first tribune for rural activities, so let's celebrate IYFF and think about how we can increase its impact.

Awareness Campaign indicates the objectives and the course of the campaign. This section contains radio programs focusing on the importance of family farming and the role of communication.        

     
AMARC Regional Consultations includes electronic forum documents (2013) conducted in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean on the issue of family farming and the role of community radio in the fight against hunger.      

     

FAO Regional Conferences regroups recordings on regional conferences (2014) and a series of interviews on the role of Family Farming and communication in the fight against hunger.

     

     

FAO Regional Dialogues regroups recordings on regional dialogues (2013) and a series of interviews on the role of Family Farming and communication in the fight against hunger.
