RADIO IS YOU - World Radio Day 2017

World Radio Day is now in its 6th year!
Radio is still the most dynamic, reactive and engaging medium there is, adapting to 21st century changes and offering new ways to interact and participate. Where social media and audience fragmentation can put us in media bubbles of like-minded people, radio is uniquely positioned to bring communities together and foster positive dialogue for change. By listening to its audiences and responding to their needs, radio provides the diversity of views and voices needed to address the challenges we all face. RADIO IS YOU! Here below some initiatives promoted by our members and partners:
In Bangladesh 12 Bangladesh Betar (Radio) regional stations and 17 Community Radio stations in rural Bangladesh decided to organize colorful rally and seminar on the occasion.
In Haiti, our member SAKS will launch a campaign for the promotion of community radios and sign an agreement to involve CR in the protection of environment and education.
In Morocco, Ejoussour organizes the International meeting "Community Radios in Maghreb and Mashrek, assessment and future perspectives". In Nepal our members ACORAB, Association of Community Radio Broadcasters promoted a national event with the presence of the Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Puspa Kamal Dahal.
Follow us and stay tuned. RADIO IS YOU!
